Phillip L. Nelsen
Attorney
Phillip Nelsen is a graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law. Practicing primarily in the areas of estate planning, business and regulatory compliance law. Phillip has experience representing clients in a wide variety of legal issues including National Firearm Act compliance matters, real estate development projects, criminal and civil litigation, among others. Prior to accepting a position at Nelsen Law Offices, P.C. Phillip was a municipal prosecutor in Washington.
Phillip has been certified and served as an expert witness for firearm related litigation and retained to teach Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars. Phillip speaks at legal conferences throughout the United States on topics ranging from firearm laws to entrepreneurship and has written and published a 50 state firearm law guide book that has sold over 100,000 copies in traditional and digital format.
Outside of the practice of law, Phillip co-founded and grew one of the largest specialty training firms in America, growing it from a single location in 2008 to over 50 locations in 17 states by 2014. In August 2014 Phillip’s training firm was acquired by an out of state investment group as part of a large asset purchase transaction. This purchase freed up substantially more time for Phillip to dedicate to his law practice.
Current member of the Utah Bar Association (Admitted in 2012) and U.S. District Court for the District of Utah Bar. Current member of the Weber County Chamber of Commerce Legislative Affairs and Small Business Committees.

Jason K. Nelsen
Attorney
Jason K. Nelsen is a graduate of Brigham Young University (B.A. 1998) and Creighton University School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 2001). While in law school, he served as a Student Articles Editor for the Creighton Law Review. On three occasions (2005, 2010 and 2011), Jason has been named as one of “Utah’s Legal Elite™” by Utah Business Magazine and in 2013 and 2014, he was named a “Rising Star” in the Real Estate category by Super Lawyer’s® Magazine.
Jason currently practices primarily in the areas of real estate and estate planning and has extensive experience representing clients in a wide variety of transactional, administrative and litigation matters. He has served as lead counsel in drafting and negotiating complex contracts for transactions as large as $50,000,000, including corporate acquisitions, real estate purchases, sales and leases and commercial finance transactions. Jason is experienced in providing written legal opinions on the enforceability of contracts and loan documents in high value transactions and is also accustomed to providing strategic input and direction to clients’ officers and senior management. Jason is a current member of the Utah Bar Association (Admitted in 2002) and U.S. District Court for the District of Utah Bar (2002). Jason is also an inactive member of the Nebraska State Bar Association (Admitted in 2001) and Idaho Bar Association (Admitted in 2012).
